Research In Motion officially confirmed today in a Knowledge Base article that certain devices are experiencing an issue with PIN messages. The problem lies with the PIN messages option not even appearing for some users. However, receiving PIN message, reply to, and forward will still function as per normal.
According to RIM, the problem affects the following devices:
BlackBerry ® Bold 9930BlackBerry ® Bold 9900BlackBerry ® Bold 9790BlackBerry ® Bold 9780BlackBerry ® Curve 9380BlackBerry ® Curve 9370BlackBerry ® Curve 9360BlackBerry ® Curve 9350BlackBerry ® Torch 9860BlackBerry ® Torch 9850BlackBerry ® Torch 9810Porsche Design P’9981The problem appears to be only with OS7 devices. RIM states they currently have no time-frame for a fix. Did you or have you ever used PIN messages? Personally, can’t say I’ve ever used this feature much.
